Job Description

Work with Assistant Director to complete required communications work for
SyracuseCoE including print and web graphic design, website maintenance, social media and outreach, communications writing and other various departmental tasks.

Responsibilities

Student will assist in maintaining website graphics and copy, will support print and web-based design to include such items as: writing copy for news and outreach, designing flyers and posters, exhibits, handbooks and other publications. (All work to be done following Syracuse University and SyracuseCoE branding guidelines.) Student will assist with coordinating and executing social media and emarketing campaigns in accordance with monthly communications goals. Student may be asked to contribute to writing and distributing press releases and other external communications. Student will contribute to the execution of SyracuseCoE and other events. Student will assist in other departmental projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

Student must have a good understanding and demonstrated experience with written communications, graphic design and typography, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Proficiencies in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign). Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Knowledge WordPress preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications

Completed college coursework in a related field (e.g., Graphic Design, Marketing/Communications, Public Relations).
