Job Description

The PeopleSoft Application Security Analyst position performs all duties pertaining to the establishment of user system access, modification and revocation based on requirements for that particular user to access University software applications. They are responsible for the creation and maintenance of security roles and permission lists to grant access. They are also responsible for training of Data Custodians, Information Coordinators and Key Security Contacts across campus to maintain system security requirements established by the University. They will be responsible for Application Security tasks and projects and will be assigned as security project leads during major projects to work with Developers, DBA’s, Tech Support and functional area representatives as required by the project. Duties includes production/test system support and provides overall expertise in the areas of security maintenance, auditing and reporting primarily for the Campus ERP environment (e.g. PeopleSoft) and any 3rd party Software Applications used by the University.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience plus 3 plus years of relevant experience in information technologies/computer science as necessary.

Job Specific Qualifications

• Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security
• Strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer user accounts (Creation, Modification, Deletion) within the University particularly for Application security for the campus ERP PeopleSoft environment. ((e.g. MySlice) and some 3rd Party Applications used by the University.
• Provide Application Security production support and on-call support for problem analysis and resolution during and after work hours.
• Perform Application Security Project Lead duties as required by projects. Work with Developers, DBA’s, and Technical Support and Campus functional users to design, establish and maintain security requirements across applications.
• Provide Application Security auditing and reporting needs.
• Create and maintain documentation for all Application Security procedures.
• Train Information Coordinators, Data Custodians and Key Security Contacts (Campus-wide).
