Bookstore hours between December 18, 2017 – January 12, 2018 are M-F 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Bookstore hours for the Spring semester (beginning January 13th) will be M-F 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturdays 11:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Job Description

Immediate employment opportunities available during the Winterlude and back-to-school time period now through January 26, 2018. Opportunities also exist for exceptional associates to continue employment through Spring 2018 semester. Staff assume varied duties including but not limited to cashiering, administrative, order fulfillment, stocking, merchandising, customer service, and security.

The Bookstore will have expanded hours during the back-to-school period including before and after published store hours.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Welcome each customer and provide excellent attention and service. Learn and apply store policies and procedures. Accurate cash handling. Move, count, clean, setup and display merchandise. Fulfill, process, package and distribute online orders. Accurate data entry. Answer phones, collate, maintain business files and records.

Required Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills, a history of dependability and reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to make each customer feel welcomed. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Specific Qualifications

Priority consideration for students with prior retail experience, having Federal Work Study, and early availability.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.

Tools/Equipment

May include cash register, computer, hand scanner, pallet jack, ladder and hand truck.
