A Professor of Practice is expected to stay active in the professional world of journalism and may use his or her summers to continue working in journalism. Salary is negotiable. BDJ students produce stories in our nation’s capital tailored for individual Nexstar stations around the country. BDJ also partners with the New York State Associated Press Association to sponsor a biennial State of the Field” full day workshop for media professionals and students. Newhouse BDJ students have done very well in national competitions over the years.
