Job Description

Syracuse Abroad is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Visa Coordinator. This working hours are from March to July and September to mid-December (approximately three months on and three months off). No more than 8 hours per day, up to 30 weeks per year.


• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Job Specific Qualifications

• Must be extremely organized, with high attention to detail required.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate effectively to students, staff, outside constituents (i.e., Consular office staff).
• High level of proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook and Excel.


• Counsel, facilitate, and advise students on the visa application process, including those applying independently for their visa.
• Collect and log visa documentation for group submissions on a daily basis, reviewing for accuracy in a timely manner.
• Maintain communication with students regarding deadlines, paperwork status, requirement changes, etc.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
• Prepare paperwork for each visa (enrollment letters, insurance letters, registrar information, flight itineraries, etc.) and process visa documentation.
• Prepare visa packets for batch submissions to Consular visa offices, ensuring regulations are followed and deadlines are met.
• Provide status reports.
• Return-mail passports to students.
• Additional duties as assigned.
