Job Description | The Syracuse University Literacy Corps tutoring position is open to Syracuse University students of all majors and is ideal for those who want to make a difference in the community. Salary is $10 .40 per hour and is paid through your Federal Work Study award Transportation is available. Tutors must be available to work 8-10 hours per week in blocks of 3+ hours at a time during the academic school day (8am-4pm). All applicants must be available for New Tutor Orientation on 2/9 – 2/10/2018 |
Responsibilities | The Syracuse University Literacy Corps offers SU students eligible for Federal Work Study the opportunity to tutor 8-10 hours a week in K-12 classroom settings throughout the Syracuse City School District (or Syracuse Community Based Organizations) using an established tutoring model. The tutoring position includes mandatory training and reflection sessions. |
Required Qualifications | All applicants must be current Syracuse University students in good academic standing. All applicants must be available for Orientation, scheduled for 2/9 and 2/10/18. APPLICATION DEADLINE – 1/29/2018 |
